How long does a contract case take?
Most resolve in six to twelve months. A case that goes to trial in Mecklenburg County takes eighteen months to two years from filing. We tell you which track you are on at the first call and again whenever it changes.
Can you take it on contingency?
For some business and employment claims, yes, when the damages are clear and documented. Family, estate and real estate matters are hourly or fixed fee. We tell you the fee structure before you decide to hire us.
What should I bring to the first call?
The documents at the centre of it: the contract, the lease, the termination letter, the will. Do not tidy them up. A rough timeline of what happened and when helps more than anything.
Do you work with businesses outside Charlotte?
Yes, across North Carolina and, through our of counsel, in South Carolina. Most of our work happens by phone, video and email; we come to you when it matters.
Twenty minutes, free, this week.
If we are not the right firm, we will say so and tell you who is.
